Present Position
STP expanded its in-house staff substantially at the beginning of 2002 through its
acquisition of the Nordic translation business of the UK subsidiary of Done Solutions
Oy (www.donesolutions.com), at the same time adding to STP’s already large base of
translation company clients.
The deal involved the transfer of nine staff members from Done's Farnham office in
conjunction with STP’s move to a new, larger office in Durley on the outskirts of
Southampton. This staff expansion combined with further average growth in turnover
of approx. 15% year-on-year since 2002 means that STP now has extensive human and
technical resources at its disposal. We are therefore ideally positioned to serve
the needs of all our regular translation company clients who see us as their first
choice for translations from and into the Nordic languages.
STP continues to build up its team of in-house translators, increasing both our expertise
and our flexibility to meet the most varying demands. We are continually investing
in the most up-to-date computer-assisted translation (CAT) technology, other relevant
software and linguistic reference materials, and our staff training programme ensures
that all our translators keep up to speed.
